WICI 20th Anniversary Gala Concert (DVD)

This 2-disk set presents the 20th anniversary gala concert of the WICI Song and Dance Company, which took place on April 26, 2003, and is titled, “How Things Were in the Olden Days - Dances, Jigs and Merrymaking.” The 2-hour concert features the best of the WICI repertoire, incorporating both folk and classical dances, as well as a special performances by renowned Polish actors and opera singers: Barbara Kozuchowska, Ewa Staniszewska, Andrzej Krukowski, Brygida Bziukiewicz and Dariusz Ocetek. A second disk presents interviews with key individuals who have shaped or been shaped by WICI: founder Magdalena Solarz, administrative personnel, veteran dancers, singers and musicians, current members of the WICI ensemble.



Original Folk Songs by WICI (CD)

In 1988, WICI released an audio recording in order to document its unique choral achievements, featuring many folk songs that are seldom heard elsewhere. This digital rendition of the original recordings is an effort to bring some of the most beautiful Polish folk music to a new generation of listeners. 21 songs.
